At Bethany, Jesus triumphantly ascended to rule all authority in heaven and on earth. Truly, all things hold together in him, the crucified and risen Savior of the world! So when he raised his hands in blessing at Bethany, he was visualizing his hands-on, personal promise that "all things work together for the good of those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose" (Rom 8:28 EHV).

It's a different century on a different continent, but he's still fulfilling his promises here at Bethany Lutheran in beautiful Saginaw Township.
